PPG Architectural Coatings

At PPG, our external wall insulation and render systems have been used to protect buildings across continents for over 30 years. These solutions form part of the Johnstone’s Stormshield range, offering high quality, long lasting, durable finishes and systems. With a wide variety of options available, you can be confident that we have the solutions for any project or client requirement.

External Wall Insulation (EWI)
Johnstone's External Wall Insulation systems have been specially designed and developed to provide high performance solutions to our customers. We offer a wide range of insulation materials, fixings and finish choices to make sure that the performance and the aesthetic of our systems are perfectly aligned to your needs.

Render systems
Johnstone’s Render systems offer a high quality, long lasting, rendered finish for a wide variety of substrates and are available in a broad range of finishes, you can be rest assured we have a system to suit any project or client requirement. Our system options are below:

High Flex
Highly modified polymer system that brings ultimate flexibility. Formulated for application to render carrier boards and on substrates where adhesion, flexibility and crack resistance is paramount. This high performance, breathable systems provides durable protection from the harshest of weather conditions, keeping maintenance cycles to a minimum.

High Performance
A modern, high technology BBA approved render system, formulated for application to traditional masonry substrates and developed using polymer modified technology.

The high performance system can be finished with a variety of options including a full silicone or silicone enhanced render, providing flexibility and crack resistance as well as a wide variety of colour choices. The system can also be finished with brick slips for a natural brick finish or a brick effect by using the Johnstone’s Stormshield Brick Effect Render. We also offer a dash finish, with a wide variety of colours and dash aggregates available.

OCR
A breathable, traditional cement based render that is manufactured in factory controlled conditions to ensure high quality consistency. The render can be finished with Silicone enhanced or Johnstone’s Masonry Paints, many of which are BBA approved.

Scratch Render
A traditional through colour render system for exterior masonry surfaces. Stormshield Scratch Render is a high quality, cement based formulation that has been modified with polymer to provide a durable and attractive all weather solution for any project.
