PBO FRCM systems were selected for the structural reinforcement of a twin viaduct system in Rome. Ruregold's PBO FRCM was used in the maintenance of two viaducts on Via del Fosso di Dragoncello. The project involved viaducts with continuous beam structures spanning 14.8 m, 17 m, and 15 m, showing significant concrete deterioration due to natural decay and vehicle impacts.>

The structural restoration of the infrastructure involved returning the two structures to their original functionality and ensuring safety. Ruregold utilized MX R4 repair mortar for the damaged concrete and combined it with an RFCM reinforcement system featuring PBO MESH 70/18 and the MX-PBO Concrete matrix. The process included removing damaged layers, treating the reinforcement bars, applying the passivating agent, and then using multiple layers of the reinforcement system to restore and strengthen the concrete.
