Heald's Viper Passes ASTM Crash Test

Heald is proud to announce that the Viper Shallow Mount Roadblocker has undertaken ASTM crash testing at MIRA. This is the second crash test that the Viper has endured, and it now conforms to PAS68 and ASTM impact criteria with zero penetration, zero dispersion, remaining operational after impact with a dual performance classification of 7500/80/90/0 : 24.6 and 6800/80/90/0 : 0

The Viper was impacted with a lorry of 6.8 tonnes travelling at 80kph which was brought to a complete standstill with zero penetration & zero dispersion.

Unique design features include:
No pre-cast pit, fitting very quick and easy.
Minimal foundations.
Total depth of excavations 400mm.
No reinforcement of concrete required.
Blocking element stands at over 1000mm high.
Low maintenance costs.
Tested with N3 type vehicle (18 tonner weighing 7.5tonnes) and American specification vehicle tested.
Safety skirt easily removed by 2 fixing bolts for easy maintenance.
20 tonne axle weight.
Used approx. 3 cubic meters of concrete for install, saving time and money!

This is one of many tests Heald are currently undertaking to prove our systems are reliable, will take repeated attacks with different vehicle tpes and still operate, protecting your site at all times.
