The hostile vehicle mitigation specialists Heald have been awarded the ‘Sold Nationwide’ winner at the Made in Hull Awards for their protected security bollard, the Matador.

Heald were up against finalists Savantini and Kingston Engineering at the awards, which took place on 4th June at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

The Matador has revolutionised the perimeter security industry as it is the only surface mounted sliding bollard on the market. It protects from vehicle borne threats with its automatic, sliding bollard that has been IWA-14 tested to halt a 7.2 tonne truck travelling at 64kph (40mph).

The Matador has been installed both nationwide and internationally, including at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre in Athens and was used to secure the perimeter at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
