Heated Driveway Systems have designed 3 heated mats for a prestigious development.

As part of the ramp was undercover, the system was split so it runs off 2 circuits.

The total electrical load of 21.25Kw was spread out over the mats (300w/sqm) and the system is controlled by air temperature and moisture sensors.

Sensors active the system if the temperature drops below 3 ̊C and there is moisture in the air, meaning a genuine risk of ice.

The drive will be kept clear of snow and ice in temperatures down to -20 ̊C and will switch off once the weather is warmer.
