They say looking back is often the key to moving forward.
However at Broxap, they have already set themselves some ambitious targets and goals for 2023 and beyond.
In fact they are so committed to the changes they are driving they wanted to do more than simply pledge their progress towards sustainable manufacturing – Broxap wanted to lead by example and demonstrate the direct action they are taking.
As a family business which recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, these latest improvements are another reflection of how they are, and have always been, a future-ready company.
So in sharing their plans in their latest brochure they thought it also fitting that they should celebrate the projects they have successfully delivered and learned from in their journey so far.
Adaptability gives Broxap its competitive advantage.
With each division and department all working from a single site they are able to respond quickly and efficiently to their clients’ enquiries with the most up-to-date and accurate information available.
They put in a team effort to bring architectural vision to life, to customise their products to enable people of all backgrounds and abilities to enjoy outdoor spaces and to be innovative in their designs to support interaction with the built environment.
They also aim to be adaptable in their systems and operations, putting sustainability at the heart of everything they do as they rise to the climate challenge.
And so Project Transform was developed - a capital expenditure programme to support carbon and energy management; to reduce waste; and to generate sustainable product life cycles.
Investments so far include a £1.5 million factory extension to make way for a new automated powder coating plant designed to enhance efficiency, increase capacity as well as cut emissions.
Work is due to start on the installation of solar panels to generate green energy, while briquette technology and wood waste heaters have been fitted to keep the production site warm while reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Their folklift trucks are all electric and they’ve chosen smart technologies which reduce energy consumption such as a super-efficient fibre laser cutting machine.
They have gone on to invest in a new press brake machine, the construction of new welfare facilities for their employees will soon start and improved outdoor storage space will be built for a safer, smarter, healthier working environment.
Details of their investments can be found in their new brochure alongside case studies highlighting the many varied projects we have worked on.
These are of course just a sample of the outdoor spaces they help to transform across the UK every day through Broxap and their Sunshine Gym and Hand Made Places divisions.
Specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of street furniture including outdoor seating, litter & recycling bins, bollards, planters, and signage; cycle parking products; shelters, canopies and walkways; and outdoor gym and playground equipment, Broxap works across every sector.
