Triton Systems has re-introduced Powertekk steel roof tiles, the vandal proof, wind proof and very lightweight metal roofing system which is suitable for all types of residential or commercial buildings.
Weighing just 7.7 kg/m², which is around seven times lighter than concrete tiles, Powertekk steel roof tiles are made from cold rolled steel and coated with a clear acrylic top-coat for extra durability.
Shatterproof, vandal and wind resistant, the tiles are available in a range of styles and colours which make them suitable for all types of domestic or commercial buildings – particularly in exposed areas.
Their traditional appearance makes them virtually indistinguishable from clay, slate or concrete equivalents and life expectancy is around 70 years.
Their impact resistance makes them particularly suitable for sporting facilities such as cricket pavilions and golf clubhouses, whilst their vandal resistance means they are also ideal for school and community buildings.
Their light weight also makes them suitable for use on prefabricated and portable buildings, or in the refurbishment of old pitched roofs where the construction is too frail for heavier replacements.
Powertekk tiles can be installed on all types of roof construction including pitched roofs between 90º and 10º. They are fitted to battens using nails or screws with practised installers often taking less than half the time it takes to fit traditional tiles.
The complete range of accessories includes vents, ridges and underlays. Find out more about Powertekk steel roof tiles by visiting their website here.
