Jaymart worked closely with the Building Manager and architect to resolve issues with dirt and moisture being brought into the building causing health and safety issues with potential for slips, trips and falls on the wet stone floor. They also wanted to increase prestige and reduce cleaning costs and use of harmful cleaning chemicals.
Due to the area being in constant use, Jaymart optimised the performance of the mat by using three different inserts.
Stage 1) Alligator Track – The rubber insert was used in the external area and first half of the revolving door to increase resistance to draw off dirt and moisture before it entered the building. Using this insert also reduced the risk of slips, trips and falls.
Stage 2) Alligator Forefront – The Ingenius insert was used in the first part of the external mat by actively brushing and drying traffic as they passed across this section, optimising the drying process.
Stage 3) Alligator Raincheck – The final stage absorbed the residue of moisture, ensuring that the traffic passing across it was as dry as possible before walking onto the stone floors.
By incorporating these three stages within one mat, traffic passed across the entrance mat seamlessly, so when it came to the stone floor, all of the dirt and moisture was removed.
This helped enhance the entrance to the building, increased prestige, reduced the risk of slips, trips and falls, and also reduced cleaning costs and harm to the environment from reduced use of harmful cleaning chemicals.
