Type of works: supply of large secure gravity fed chuted door flap .

The Customer Service Manager from Barnsley City Council wanted a mailbox which had a large secure gravity fed chuted door flap that would handle a large volume of mail up to 110mm in thickness and A3 in size.

The mail could then be collected and retrieved from a mail sack which is located under the chuted flap and securely contained within the mailbox itself. Access to the mailbox is via a strong piano hinged door with a secure key locking mechanism.

Manufactured from tough 2mm thick zinc plated steel the mailbox can be bolted to the floor and is finished in polyester powder coated paint finish which is guaranteed for 11 years.

Our design and development department worked in unison with the Councils Manager to develop a bespoke mailing solution to ensure that their specifications were met.
