Pennine Stone, the UK’s leading supplier of cast stone to the house building and contracting sectors, is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Walsh as Managing Director.

Since its formation as part of the Haddonstone Group in 2002, Pennine Stone has grown to be one of the country’s top cast stone manufacturers and has won awards – including Supplier of the Year to the Persimmon Group, the UK’s largest house builder. The company manufactures an extensive range of standard architectural components as well as the ability to create custom stonework to individual specifications.

Richard Walsh has been with the Haddonstone Group for 12 years, and has been General Manager for Pennine Stone for the past year. He also brings with him a wide experience of the cast stone industry having been seconded to a number of subsidiaries within the Group – including Haddonstone’s successful subsidiary in the USA.

Pennine Stone operates from a state-of-the-art factory in Carcroft, near Doncaster in South Yorkshire, manufacturing and delivering stone to all areas of the UK and to builders large and small. The company has become the first cast stone manufacturer to be awarded a certificate from the British Board of Agrément (BBA) for its TecCast manufacturing process.

TecCast products are manufactured using a revolutionary process that utilises the latest technology, including highly advanced computer controlled batching equipment, to produce a superior, consistent, yet traditional product. Alongside the standard and bespoke TecCast products, Pennine also produces TecLite, a pioneering lightweight GRC material, for the building and construction industry.
