Passive fire protection for Sprivers Mansion

Passive fire protection for Sprivers Mansion

Envirograf has provided several products from its fire protection range to help a Grade 2 listed, national trust 17th Century Mansion comply with fire regulations.

Sprivers Mansion consists of three different sections with numerous rooms. This makes it an ideal all round wedding and hotel venue. However upon the fire safety inspection officers noted that the doors and interior walls would need to be upgraded to meet fire safety standards.

Envirograf were chosen to carry out the required work. This consisted of upgrading multiple doors and walls of different styles and fixtures whilst ensuring the historic integrity of the doors remained intact.

To ensure that the doors met the requirements, Envirograf used their surface-mounted intumescent fire and smoke seals. Using this type of seal means that no routing has to be done to the door itself. The seals simply fit into place using an adhesive strip on the back. They are placed on the inside of the door frame. This saves time and ensures the historic integrity of the door is kept.
