Paul Lythgoe was presented with an NFRC Services to Industry Award on 14 January 2025.

Paul, retired MD of Tudor Roof Tiles and Chair of the RTA from 2021-2024 received the award for his outstanding commitment and dedication to the roofing industry.

It was given as a special thank you from the NFRC his performance in collating and bringing all the information together for the first edition of the Design and Installation Guide for Roof Tiling.

The Guide was jointly written by the RTA and the NFRC who both wanted to create a book that was comprehensive and informative and would become an essential reference for the UK pitched roofing sector.

On receiving the award from Bob Richardson, Head of Training and Technical at the NFRC, Paul thanked all concerned at the NFRC, and especially the working group members who took part in the 3 year mammoth project of writing the Guide.

He went on to say:

"I am proud to have been a part of the highly knowledgeable team that included experts from the RTA and the NFRC"

"I hope the Guide will help all roofers, whether they are just starting at the outset of their careers or are more experienced roofers, to carry out their day-to-day roofing activities with the certainty that they are getting everything right"
