Polyrey, the renowned boutique laminate brand, has teamed up with Hull-based Excel Laminating to exhibit for the first time at Interbuild its patented Rey Solutions product ranges for wallpanelling and ceilings. Rey Solutions incorporates all the advantages of a plasterboard core and Polyreys melamine surface technology.
For the building trade, Rey Solutions wall-panelling for partitions and wall linings offers an economical, environmentally friendly, acoustic, fire retardant, recyclable, and decorative solution from just one panel without the need for further fabrication.
On show will be the 12 popular designs available in panel size 3,000 x 1,200 x 12.5mm, creating durable and decorative wallpanelling that is ideal for coping with the demanding needs of the commercial, office, educational and healthcare sectors. The panels are compatible with all the major modular systems available on the market and are very easy to cut and install.
In comparative testing, the melamine surface offers superior surface resistance than PVC and vinyl. The panels conform to Euroclass B-s1,dO, equivalent to Class 0, and also have a low calorific value which guarantees that they meet or exceed all current fire legislation and makes them suitable for all interior applications, as well as public environments. Moreover, Rey Solutions partitions, unlike PVC, will not emit toxic substances in the case of fire and contains no phtalates which can be passed on by touch.
Rey Solutions ceilings offers a choice of ceiling tiles in 6 options of plain colours, decors and wood grains that are similarly available in the Rey partitions wall-panelling and HPL door size, allowing perfect co-ordination of the interior. The 600 x 600mm tiles are available in a perforated and non-perforated format, with the square perforated option being developed to offer a modern visual effect, whilst still ensuring optimal sound absorption.
The plasterboard-based ceiling tiles are inherently fire retardant with no surcharge or extended lead time, and with Class 0, d0 certification are more suitable for ceiling application than MDF or MFC alternatives. They are resistant to scratching, cracking, impact and cigarette burns, while the decorative surface is colourfast under artificial light and very easy to maintain on site. Rey Solutions ceilings offers a very economical solution, while the rigid properties of the plasterboard core gives a pleasing feeling of solidity to the ceiling.
Patricia Rahme, Marketing Manager at Polyrey, said: We have researched our market and developed Rey Solutions to provide specifiers and contractors with a product that is best in class for interior applications. It offers both the specifier and the contractor significant
advantages with the ability to co-ordinate the key aspects of a room interior including wall panelling, doors, ceilings and furniture, while also being robust, economical, easy to install and recyclable.
Rey Solutions partitions have been tested and approved for recycling as an alternative to landfill disposal via the Lafarge Wasteline programme. This programme allows the gypsum core to be extracted and recycled back into the manufacture of plasterboard, with the paper and melamine face re-used elsewhere.
Excel Laminating is the UK distributor of Rey Solutions and offers ex-stock availability nationwide.
