Pop Up Power Supplies® were pleased to be part of a £25.7 million revamp of Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen. The redevelopment is part of the ‘Aberdeen City Centre Masterplan’ which is designed to invigorate the whole area.

Pop Up Power Supplies® were asked by the main contractor Balfour Beatty to provide power solutions for the central lawn area which was to be retained as a flexible space for large scale gatherings and events. The park features new entrances, pavilions and walkways around the events space. There is also sympathetic landscaping, planting and bespoke lighting.

Pop Up Power Supplies® supplied 3x PUPS02 4040 units with 1x32A single phase socket for power distribution. They are manufactured in stainless steel and have a recessed lid. The tops are available in stainless steel or cast iron but are slightly recessed to allow for the surrounding surface to be extended over the lid. This allows for a beautiful finish to the site. Balfour Beatty also specified 10x PUPS02 7050 units with 1x63A three phase sockets, 2x32A single phase sockets and 2x 16A single phase sockets.
