A development of 82 new build houses to the north of Glasgow benefit from 900 Optima casement windows and French doors in Anthracite Grey from Profile 22.

A brownfield site was acquired by Keepmoat Homes for the development of 82 two and three-bedroom homes in seven different styles.

The contract for the windows and French doors on the homes was awarded to Glasgow-based Profile 22 Approved Window Contractor Gold Seal Windows. The company was also able to demonstrate that the Optima window and door system from Profile 22 would be able to meet the required technical specifications and the required budget.

Work on The Orchard started in November 2017 and completed in October 2019.

Optima is the award-winning 70mm system for Profile 22. Its casement windows are available in sculptured and chamfered variations. Aesthetically, Optima casement windows offer improved sightlines and a higher glass-to-frame ratio. They are suitable for almost any size or layout of casement window because the system includes all the components for bay and bow windows and conservatories. The choice of 28 colours means the system can compete with aluminium alternatives. The system meets all requirements for thermal efficiency as standard. A wealth of intelligent design features and double and triple glazing options mean thermal efficiency can be enhanced to meet a project’s specified standards, up to and including 0.8 W/m2K or A++. When correctly specified, Optima casement windows are PAS24 approved as standard. Secured by Design requirements can also be met where required.

Thanks to careful project management and effective communication, the Gold Seal Windows’ installation team was able to install all 900 units on time and on budget.
