CPD: Protection from harmful ground gases

Regulations require that the ground being covered by a building should be reasonably free from any material that might damage the building or affect its stability. This CPD covers ground gases, how they may enter a dwelling, gas control measures and standard detailing information.
An overview of NHBC ‘Traffic lights’, CIRIA C665 and the Ground Gas Handbook is included and BRE document BR414 ‘Protective measures for housing on gas contaminated land’ is examined.
