Raleigh-Durham International Airport, North Carolina, USA

Architect: The Freelon Group
Type of works: design, manufacture and installation of eight glass elevator enclosures.

Located at the heart of Raleigh-Durham International Airport campus, the new parking structure features glass-enclosed elevators that transport people from all levels to a central area on the ground floor where, moving sideways, transports them to adjacent airport terminals.

It features the PSG glazing system with stainless-steel glazing arms and countersunk rotules which support clear, fully tempered, laminated glass.

The glass means that travellers are able to see where they are while creating a safe and pleasant environment.
