EMS Tretford Design Range 95% min recycled aluminium grid entrance matting system with TDR natural and sustainable goat hair ribbed infills, colour charcoal. Anodised aluminium grid system and matching angle frames in light gold to match brass fittings/interior design features – Internal entrance matting area and into the reception foyer area.
The project required an improvement of the exterior and entrance area of the office building. To improve street presence, the architects at HK Architects added a 2 storey pavillian element in dark colours.
The reception area has been fully modernised by replacing the grey interior with a rich palette of materials in darker colours. This refurbishment included a new ground floor entrance on the side of the street.
The architects designed a modern reception area with dark panelled walls, followed by a lighter section creating height and space above.
The main flooring area is a rich dark lava stone in a chevron pattern with bespoke reception desks.
There are brass details around the lifts that complements the anodised light gold aluminium grid entrance matting of the interior entrance matting area.
By combining this with the dark charcoal goat hair infills, the entrance matting has become part of the whole design and a considered design element within this building project.
By choosing a rubber for the external area, the architect has not only thought about the use and durability of a busy entrance but also works well with the dark tiles in the external entrance area to the street.
