Troax’s Excalibur double-skin, modular steel partitioning was used to construct a series of contemporary offices for senior managers at precision-engineering company Reliance Precision’s new design, development and testing facility in Huddersfield.

Located over three floors, the new offices are used by the company’s managing director and senior management staff. Other facilities such as cleanrooms, workshops and drawing offices have also been constructed using Excalibur partitioning.

In-line with Reliance Precision’s commitment to responsibly manage the environmental impact of its operations, the new offices and workshops are located in a new eco-friendly, low-carbon building in Huddersfield.

Troax’s Excalibur partitioning provided a cost-effective solution for creating the extensive series of offices and workshops within the new building.  Its streamlined, contemporary design is also extremely practical. The partitioning is versatile enough to provide a smart office environment for management staff, while its functional design also makes it ideal for creating workshops, drawing offices, test facilities and cleanroom environments.

The Excalibur partitioning was supplied through contractor Nor-Rak Systems, with a combination of solid steel and steel/glazed partitioning used to construct the offices. 

Panels were supplied in a high-quality, powder-coated finish in a variety of colours, including Light Grey, Dark Grey, Blue and Green, to enable Reliance to incorporate its own design ideas into the new interiors.  Because the partitioning is modular, it could be easily custom-designed to create the optimum layout, maximising the use of space within the building. 

Another advantage of the Excalibur steel partitioning, commented on by staff in the drawing office, was the ability to fix drawings directly onto the steel walls using magnets.
