The Ronacrete Product Awareness Training Course is designed to make you aware of the essential elements which make up a good and durable surfacing.

Ronacrete want all of their contractor customers to know the ins and outs of resin bound surfacing installation; what is best practice and what to avoid. Every step of the process is covered, from surface preparation, to setting up your tools on the day, to getting the best finish possible.

The training session begins with a presentation, not just about resin bound surfacing, but about SuDS compliance and the importance of the base and sub-base build up that will support the resin bound surface.

The discussions include the importance of using the correct aggregates, how lack of awareness about essentials can cost you a lot of money, all the different aspects of resin bound surfacing and where things can go wrong on site, suitable installation conditions and maintenance after completion.

Next is the demonstration area. This is where Ronacrete demonstrate the different methods discussed and show how effective they are on site. Every person in attendance has the opportunity to try the methods and carry out a small installation.

After everyone has had a go, it’s time for lunch and a Q&A session. At the end of the course, each company is provided with product literature and a sample case which covers the full range of resin bound surfacing blends, which have been tested for permeability, strength and slip resistance.

The process doesn’t end when session finishes, as ongoing support is vital. Ronacrete provides free on-site support to all their customers and approved contractors whenever it is needed. It is important that whoever is installing their products is comfortable doing so, as this makes sure the best results are achieved.

Ronacrete are committed to ensuring that all resin bound materials supplied to the industry are or a high standard. To help achieve this they are members of FeRFA and currently chair the Resin Bound Association and produce Technical Guidance Notes. Working with other manufacturers and contractors Ronacrete hope to set standards for the whole industry.
