Belton Farm is a third-generation family business, creating award-winning cheeses for several UK supermarkets.
Relocating their production facilities into an unused barn meant that a full fit-out was needed, including production areas, offices, air-lock and storage facilities. John Lord was chosen, having worked with Belton Farms on previous projects.
Uragard-HT62W antimicrobial resin flooring was an ideal solution for the project due to its durability, chemical resistance, and anti-slip properties. A total of 750m2 was installed throughout the facility.
150m of Aspen Stainless drains, channels and curbs were also installed to cope with the high level of activity and standards of cleanliness needed within the production areas and washrooms.
The strictest levels of hygiene standards are required within food and drink facilities due to the build-up of bacteria and possible cross contamination of liquids. In these facilities, the floors and drains work hand in hand to direct wastewater into the central drainage channel within the processing area.
Rob Clubbe said: "We have worked with John Lord for several years for all our production facilities and will continue to do so when needs arise. We trust them to install the right flooring and drainage for our needs, delivering on spec and on time, every time."
