Reynaers CW 50 curtain walling has been used to provide a sleek new look for an important London building, One Aldermanbury Square, as part of a major refurbishment.
One Aldermanbury Square is a prestigious nine-storey property in central London, which has undergone a £28m renovation to bring it up to standard and give it a new lease of life. Reynaers were called upon to provide the new design-led curtain wall installation for the project and the companys CW 50 curtain wall system, with smart black anodised finish, has been installed to give the premises a completely new, sleek and modern appearance.
The renovation was initiated to establish 67,000 sq ft of office space and involved the creation of a new reception area and a complete reconfiguration of the central core section. The project also involved the demolition and reconstruction of the offices top floor.
Paul Duffy, Sales Director for Reynaers, said: In this particular case, not only were unlimited design capability and flexibility key requirements for this project, the energy performance of the system was also an important consideration for the owners.
Our CW 50 is a façade and roof system which as well as providing the maximum amount of light for the occupants, has also enabled the provision of a modern and contemporary appearance and giving a new lease of life for this important building.
Following the renovation the building has since been given a BREEAM excellent rating. Architects for the project were TateHindle, contractors were Skanska with the fabricators being AWS Turner Fain.
