Ronacrete products were used at the foundation level to reinstate concrete at London Bridge Station, at the foot of the structure, and also in the Shangri-La hotel at the very top of the structure.

A thin screed was needed for several floors in the Shard’s upper levels and Ronafix Pre-packed Screed 6-50mm was specified because of its durability and it’s high compressive, flexural and tensile strengths. As a pre-packed system it provided the specifier with assurance of consistent high quality.

At the foot of the structure, specialist contractor Dhesi Group met with the Ronacrete technical team to determine the best solution to the problem and to consider various products and systems. Ronabond HB40 and Ronabond Flowable Micro Concrete were selected for specification because the contractor needed to be assured of the quality of the product.
