Security expert Abloy UK has supplied its standalone access control system Optima, to its wholesaler Secure Access Technologies, in order to upgrade the security system used in their offices.
Secure Access Technologies were looking for a wireless access control system, with an easy retrofit to install into their offices as the system that they had in place was hard-wired, and also could be easily be removed if the business was to move offices.
Secure Access Technologies chose Abloy Optima, which is an electronic handle set or escutcheon that provides a completely standalone single door control, operating as an electronic Master Keying system.
Its unique design and technology provide substantial benefits compared with mechanical keys and cylinders or wired online access control systems; Abloy Optima incorporates intuitive software and email alerts and can even be controlled with a smartphone.
The main benefits of the system are that there is no wiring required, it fits almost any lock/type of door, can be incorporated into existing access control systems and can easily be retro-fit to existing mechanical lock cases. Secure Access Technologies installed Abloy Optima on five doors, including three common doors (shared access) and two doors in their own area.
