For glass processors and insulated glass manufacturers there is nothing more frustrating than products failing quality control due to fine scratches. Traditional methods of scratch removal are messy and often inconsistent but now Bohle Ltd has launched Cero-Gel, a revolutionary scratch removal and polishing gel containing Cerium Oxide. Supplied in a convenient 100ml double chamber aerosol, Cero-Gel removes scratches from glass, natural stone and ceramics and is suitable for manual or automatic polishing with power tools.
The aerosol dispenses the Cero-Gel onto the damaged surface whatever the angle and without the messy dripping associated with liquid scratch removal products. This makes it suitable for use in both the workshop and on-site. To simply polish glass, Cero-Gel can be applied manually with a suitable microfibre cloth. In the case of persistent contamination and hairline scratches, it is best to use a polishing device.
A cordless drill with a felt polishing wheel will deal with most hairline scratches and for larger surfaces, the Bohle Flex Glass Polisher together with felt disc offers the best solution. Cero-Gel is also suitable for removing the first signs of glass corrosion including stains caused by cement, concrete or silicone.
