SOPREMA help increase the sustainability of your building projects by offering future-proof products and solutions and by providing excellent service, while also creating the necessary production sites to meet future demands. They will be investing 50 million euros in two additional manufacturing plants in France, which will be operational by 2023.
PUR insulation and natural insulation
The first site (20.000 m2) will focus on PUR insulation: a synthetic, polyurethane-based insulation material with low lambda values and high compressive strength. The second site is set to increase the production of their natural insulation materials, such as the well-known PAVATEX wood fibre insulation.
Sustainable choices
Both production sites will be built in Nîmes, in the south of France. Pierre-Etienne Bindschedler, CEO of SOPREMA, stresses that “Nîmes is located at an important geographical location” and is not far from the SOPREMA plant in Avignon.
SOPREMA always try to produce locally to reduce their carbon footprint to an absolute minimum. So their natural insulation manufacturing facility will experiment with reusing waste from the Saint-Gilles rice fields (situated about 12 miles from the SOPREMA production site) to develop a new insulation material.
SOPREMA remains at your service
It goes without saying that the launching of their two new plants in France will not impact their day-to-day operations at all. SOPREMA will continue to provide the premium roofing and insulation products and the personalised services that you are used to.
