Ulma Architectural Solutions has provided steel drainage channels for The Beira-Rio Stadium, which was a central venue for the Brazil world cup in 2014.
The stadium has a capacity of 58,306 and is located in the city of Porto Alegre on the River Guaiba coast. For this project Ulma recommended its U150 and self200 Drainage Channels, fitted with a galvanised steel grating and a ribbed design.
The channels are ideal sports pitches as there is no requirements for heavy loads or vehicles. Another important factor that led to these channels being specified was the speed with which they can be installed.
