Strada ironmongery chosen for contemporary conversion

Strada ironmongery chosen for contemporary conversion

This contemporary home features not only stunning architecture but also the essential ingredients for comfortable modern living. Combining a lofty interior with a cosy ambience, the design allows 21st century and period features to sit cheek by jowl. In a contract worth approximately £30,000, Strada London specified and supplied the locks and door-operating devices - including the strong pivots for these revolving glass entrances - as well as the bespoke cabinetry fittings used around the home.

Careful use of traditional materials such as wood, leather and brick softens the sleek lines of the designer furniture and the angular appearance of the building. The result is an aesthetically pleasing space for relaxing and entertaining.

As well as having large rooflights, the central living area achieves its bright and airy feel through two expansive glass windows. The larger one is portrait in shape and cleverly pivots to a horizontal position well above head height. The other is landscape in format and pivots on its vertical axis to link the interior and exterior spaces.
