The original query
We are in the process of refurbishing one of our halls of residence andwe would like to replace the current alphabetised pigeon hole postal system with alockable mailbox solution. The new mail boxes would be located in a common room inside the building. I suspect the mailboxes would need to be designed to fit (and would take considerably more space than the existing pigeon holes) - probably in 'banks' of boxes, something like those shown on your website
I attach a list of the room numbers - we would need a minimum of 273 mail boxes preferably with the numbers pre-printed/engraved on them, plus a small number of spare mail boxes to allow for future/additional uses. Ideally the mail boxes would each have different keys, but could all be opened by one master-key (so that we can place larger items of mail inside and clear junk mail.)
Would you be able to give a rough estimate of costings for the supply and installation of lockable mail boxes for this hall? We would be looking to install during the summer, ready for the next student intake in October.
If you need any further information (or if we can help by sending you some photos of the common room) please do not hesitate to get in touch. If you need to visit Beit Hall in order to carry out a survey, please dont hesitate to contact us.
Customer Endorsement
I have been meaning to drop you a few lines about the great service we have received from Safety Letter Box Company.
From the first initial enquiry when we decided to install 280 secure letter boxes in one of our halls of residence, Safety Letter Box Company were able to advise us what options were available in the space we had.
I was impressed that the installation team sent someone to visit the site prior to the installation to assess where they were to install the boxes and if there were any access issues, parking arrangement, waste disposal etc.
The boxes were to be installed in a Common Room which was being used as a reception area for our summer guests.
On the day of the installation Wednesday 10th August 2011 the Installation Team worked in the area with minimum disruption. They were conscious that they had to remove any debris and keep the place tidy while carrying out installation'.
