SentryGlas® contributes to the safety of visitors at Mumbai’s highest rooftop bar.

The Aer Bar and Longue atop the Four Seasons Worli, Mumbai, is a popular destination for tourists as the city’s highest rooftop bar, with views of the city and the sea below.

To complement the bar’s minimalistic design the designer chose a glazed balustrade to protect visitors. Located at the edge of the rooftop, the glazing offers customers an uninterrupted view of the city.

Due to the building’s 34 stories of height safety glass was a must. The designer specified laminated safety glass with SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer for its strength, stiffness and clarity, emphasising an importance for an unimposing and highly transparent safety glass solution.

The use of SentryGlas® allows the glass to carry wind and impact loads, which in turn allowed the designer to choose a frameless balustrade, which now offers visitors an unspoilt panoramic view from the bar.
