A planning application has been submitted for The City Of Glasgow College’s plans for a new £228 million campus development.

Earlier this month the competition to build the new super-campus for the City of Glasgow College was won by a joint venture between Reiach & Hall and Michael Laird Architects.

The scheme will see city’s Central College, Glasgow Metropolitan and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies combined into one education district.

The plans include new buildings at Cathedral Street and a riverside campus at Thistle Street which will put the development right at the centre of Glasgow. There will be halls of residence, offices, canteens, libraries, car parking, landscaping and lecture rooms.

Construction is due to start in August and last for 18 months.
