Type of works: implementation of AcornVac systems.
Following an impressive period of growth in North America, Acorn Powell has launched an AcornVac development program in the UK. Initial responses have been encouraging. Among several quotes supplied to major supermarket groups, the company has addressed these issues:
Client 1
Requirement: to supply a condensate only system for a medium sized supermarket. A higher proportion of chiller cabinets was to be employed than usual. The key objective was the ability to supply within a very limited time framework. Acorn Powell was able to quote a delivery, installation and commissioning time of three weeks from date of order.
Client 2
Requirement: repositioning of chiller cabinets within a store. In order to avoid costly and time consuming penetrations of the slab and installation of complex drainage pipework in the car park roofing below, Acorn Powell produced a quote for a cheaper alternative vacuum system.
Client 3
Requirement: a department store incorporating a food hall. The project required the drainage of both grey water and black water from a mixture of sources within the store. This was a complete system catering for the food hall, restaurants, public and staff restrooms. A dual system AcornVac configuration was the solution.
Client 4
Requirement: to design a system for a new standard store to form the basis for this particular groups future development. The system had to be fully linked to proposed new electronic remote monitoring systems providing the assurance that the system would function with minimal interaction by the stores staff. The system would be managed remotely by a contracted maintenance company, removing the need to manage the system using the groups head office resources.
These major UK clients have specified a variety of requirements and AcornVac has been able to produce an effective system proposal in each case.
