Vehicle and pedestrian access at Chelsea Waterfront

Vehicle and pedestrian access at Chelsea Waterfront

At Chelsea Waterfront, vehicle and pedestrian access needed to work seamlessly, securely and safely, all without disrupting a landmark redevelopment.

With a busy residential scheme built around the former Lots Road Power Station, access to the basement car park had to manage daily traffic flow while meeting strict safety and design requirements.

We were brought in to deliver a tailored solution: two automatic bi fold gates controlling vehicle entry and exit, paired with a separate personnel gate to allow controlled access for residents and staff.

The system was designed to solve several challenges at once:

- secure access control via card readers and key fobs,
- compliance with Health & Safety requirements through integrated safety devices, and a robust construction capable of long term use in a high traffic environment.

Finished in a Basalt Grey polyester powder coat, the gates sit comfortably within the architecture.

It’s a good example of where bespoke access solutions become integrated into the infrastructure people rely on every day.
