Fassa Bortolo’s Fassatherm® Classic external thermal insulation composite system has been used as an insulation solution at the Laugherne Grange B&B.

Laugherne Grange is a B&B on the outskirts of the village of Rushwick near Worcester. The Victorian property was in need of modernisation and lacked insulation, but any upgrade had to be sympathetic to the house’s period features.

Worcester Plasterers and Renderers used Fassa Bortolo’s Fassatherm® Classic external thermal insulation composite system, choosing 120mm thick EPS panels fixed with A96 adhesive with fibres for added strength. A coat of RX 561 rustic acrylic siloxane coating was then applied. The owner chose to have this in brilliant white rather than tinted to a different colour.
