Over 600m2 of Wykamol Cavity Drain Membranes have been installed by Olympic construction at an Oldham Mosque.

The Mosque is having the basement area refurbished and made waterproof so it can be used as a community space in the future.

Being on site to help design not only the waterproofing but also the pumped drainage system, the team at Wykamol have helped with a design brief and regular site visits, to ensure that this basement will be fully waterproof for many years to come.

Using Type C Cavity Drain Membranes, the team at Wykamol were able to use their years of experience to design the pumped drainage that this basement space needed. As the sub floor levels were under existing drains and as such all drainage would need to be pumped to a higher level.

Of course, the design needed to take into consideration any flooding issues likely to occur on this low-lying site complex.

Rest assured 2 forms of waterproofing were used to create a robust scheme including crystalline waterproofing cement-based systems as well as Type C Cavity Drain Membranes.
