Daikin’s new facility near Rome tests the International Standards of all climate conditions across a range of models.

The testing centre follows a set of procedures to ensure proper operation of Daikin Applied products in all environments. The regime has been verified and accredited to EN 14511:2013, ISO 9614:2009 and other major recognised European and American HVACR industry standards, it’s also been approved by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute.

The range of tests include air- or water-cooled chillers of up to 2000 kW cooling capacity, supporting up to 30 fans. And the climate conditions can be set from Southern European conditions to colder Northern regions, with temperatures as low as -15°C. Middle Eastern hot ambient temperature conditions can also be simulated, up to +52°C.

The fully equipped lounge allows testers to view the process directly and also gives access to the performance data via a monitor. Not to mention a dedicated meeting space available for project discussions.
