CPD: Design for the mind – neurodiversity and the built environment (acoustics)
Saint-Gobain Ecophon
Over 15% of the UK population have neuro differences that mean their brain functions, learns and processes information in a different way to the accepted “typical”. This can affect interaction with their environment; yet design does not often take account of their needs. This presentation focuses on the sensory response to sound and the acoustic aspects of PAS 6463 (Designing for the mind) including room acoustic guidance and solutions.
