Ever since its opening in 2015, this exquisite hotel has been occupying a special place in Manchester’s busy hospitality scene.
Located in one of the city’s most iconic buildings, (designed in 1928 by one of Britain’s most celebrated architect – Sir Edwin Lutyens, and completed in 1935), the refitted interior magnificently adopted an eclectic style, successfully mixing the original 30s Art-Deco flamboyance with modern luxury. Impressive detailing and superb execution of design, make this exquisite hotel a truly marvelous addition to the modern leisure and tourism industry.
For this highly impressive project, VTEC manufactured bespoke 3D panels featuring bold geometric pattern, characteristic of the art deco movement, which echoes elements elsewhere in the design. The combination of the subdued grained timber finish and the carefully-selected panel design enabled VTEC's 3D panels to create a dramatic, moody and luxurious atmosphere in the corridors – which was further emphasized by the underlighting.
Detailed layout drawings ensured that no cutting was required on-site and that the pattern flowed seamlessly from one panel to another.
