Althon have recently supplied several SFA headwalls (headwalls that are compliant with Sewerage Sector Guidance) factory fitted with bespoke orifice plates.

Orifice plates can be manufactured in either galvanized or stainless steel and they are designed to restrict and regulate the flow of water. They can manufacture the orifice plates to suit multiple openings or one opening in any position required on the plate.

In this instance the customer was using a 1200mm ID pipe coming into the back of the headwall and wanted 3No. 73mm, 87mm and 103mm holes in the orifice plate to restrict the flow. Althon also then added stitch welds to strengthen the plate.
