Knauf Insulation’s Rocksilk® RainScreen Slabs have become the first sheathing insulation products to carry the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) verification mark, providing greater confidence that the information given for these products is clear, accurate, accessible, unambiguous and up-to-date.
Rocksilk® RainScreen Slabs are a range of non-combustible rock mineral wool slabs designed as sheathing insulation for external walls of any height, as well as partially-filled or reinforced concrete cavity walls. They are manufactured with ECOSE® Technology, Knauf Insulation's unique bio-based binder, that contains no added formaldehyde or phenol.
The unfaced slabs in the range were the first rock mineral wool products in Europe to be awarded a ‘Red List Free’ DECLARE label, meaning they do not contain any chemicals considered to be harmful to the environment.
The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) helps to provide greater confidence that any product information, whether written in a brochure, a presentation, or on a website or social media, is clear, accurate, up-to-date, accessible, and unambiguous. There are eleven Clauses of the CCPI which cover a wide range of matters, from responsibility for product information, to accuracy of and clarity of performance claims made, general information and competency.
In addition, Rocksilk® RainScreen Slabs now form part of a tested system with Knauf Insulation’s recently launched Rocksilk® RainScreen Cavity Barriers, designed to simplify specification and support compliance in cladding and masonry façades.
