Knauf Insulation offers two core Wood Wool products – the Heraklith® A2 Decorative Panel, which is a cement-bonded wood wool panel, and the Heraklith® Tektalan A2 SmartTec, which is a cement-bonded wood wool panel combined with a rock mineral wool insulation core. Both products are non-combustible with A2-s1,d0 Euroclass reaction to fire classification. They have bevelled edges and come in nature tone colour as standard, or can be ordered in any RAL colour upon request, to create a stylish, uniform finish.

The Heraklith® A2 Decorative Panel is designed for use in residential, recreational, industrial and commercial environments where sound absorption is paramount. It can be left exposed, even in humid environments, although it can also be plastered or rendered depending on the design requirement of the building.

The product is available in three panel thicknesses with thermal conductivity of 0.085 W/mK. It can be installed by one person and is easy to work with, enabling large surfaces to be insulated quickly.

Heraklith® Tektalan A2 SmartTec offers all the benefits of the standard wood wool panels with the added thermal performance and sound absorption characteristics of mineral wool insulation. It is suitable for insulating the soffits of carparks and underground garages, basement ceilings and technical rooms. The wood wool panel has a thermal conductivity of 0.095 W/mK and the mineral wool core a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK.

The range, which is available from stock in the UK, is supported by installation guides. DDS Plus 75mm and 250mm concrete fixings can also be ordered with the boards.
