Material Specification
SHW Clause 803 Type 1 sub-base – supplied from our processing plant at Ferrybridge, over 23,000 tonnes of Incinerator Bottom Ash Aggregates (IBAA) blended with carboniferous limestone to comply with SHW Clause 803 Type 1.

Overview
An 800 dwellings greenfield housing development on Rawcliffe Road, Goole. Just off junction 36 of the M62 offering 2-, 3- & 4-bedroom homes.

Delivery Partner
East Coast Construction (N.E.) LTD.

Construction
IBAA and Limestone Blend Type 1 sub-base, approved by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, supplied for all the estate roads, footpaths and driveways. The Type 1 sub-base was laid to a depth of 350mm for the roads and 150mm for all the footpaths. All Type 1 sub-base was surfaced with asphalt.

Benefit
IBAA is an extremely cost-effective material when compared to Primary Aggregates and BPUK is working towards a verified Carbon Footprint. There are also advantages logistically when using IBAA due to the low density of the material allowing for fewer vehicle movements as this gives volumetric advantages over primary materials.
