Robust UK, part of the Novoferm UK group has expanded its broad product portfolio with the launch of RISER-DOR – its first purpose-designed fire-rated riser door for concealing building service units within vertical shafts.

Developed to meet the growing demand for compliant, discreet service access, the E120 fire-rated custom-built access panel provides safe and convenient entry to electrical wiring, plumbing and HVAC systems within vertical shafts without detracting from interior aesthetics, enabling technicians to carry out inspections, maintenance and repairs on concealed services efficiently.
Tested to E120 integrity, RISER-DOR is specially engineered to:

• Contain fire within the shaft for up to two hours.
• Help maintain clear evacuation routes.
• Prevent fire spread into or out of the riser.
• Protect essential building services from damage.

This dual-direction protection is critical in multi-storey environments, where service shafts can otherwise act as vertical pathways for fire and flames.

RISER-DOR is among the few fire-rated riser door solutions available, giving customers greater choice when designing compliant access systems. Designed to sit flush within the wall, it combines high performance with a clean architectural appearance. Key features include concealed pivot hinges and frame, minimal visible hardware, and a three-point locking system operated with a T-bar key.

Manufactured from Magnelis® steel, RISER-DOR offers superior corrosion resistance and is available with a warranty of up to 10 years. The material forms a self-healing protective layer on cut edges, significantly enhancing durability and extending the product’s lifecycle.

Each RISER-DOR is made to order and polyester powder coated as standard, finished in any colour to achieve a seamless blend with the surrounding wall.

Fully compliant with relevant building regulations such as Approved Document B, RISER-DOR is ideal for use in a variety of multi-storey commercial and residential buildings such as hotels, offices, hospitals and educational facilities, where reliable and rapid access to essential services is required.
