The frontage of the Ocean Terminal shopping centre in Edinburgh has received a radical makeover as part of a major investment to increase footfall by enhancing the visitor experience.

The extension has been clad with STEREO-KINETIC® Wall cladding, with hundreds of freely-moving stainless steel sheets suspended from the open mesh grating panels.

Gusts of wind and passing traffic cause the metal rectangles to ripple and reflect in an ever-changing display.

The kinetic artwork has been designed in such a way as to allow the passage of natural daylight through the underlying window openings on the second-floor level.
