Client: Tranent Primary School
Type of works: supply of Talia®80 steel louvred panels for bin storage.
A new £9.6 million Primary School in Tranent, East Lothian was officially opened in November 2008. Fiona Hyslop MSP and Secretary for Education, praised the school as: "an excellent example of the work that can be done in easing demands on the environment."
The architectural brief for the design and construction had been set to the highest standards and to reflect sustainable principles.
Orsogril UK were asked to supply the gates to an extensive bin store and recycling area adjacent to the school building. This amounted to 7 pairs of double-leaf hinged gates which were fabricated to exacting dimensions and supplied with adjustable hinges to fit within the brickwork surround.
The design was developed by Orsogril UK using Talia®80 steel louvred panels and 100x100x4 SHS posts, to provide a robust and durable solution combined with the required level of visual screening.
The gates were hot-dip galvanized and polyester powder coated in RAL7024.
