The new WuduMate WuduBasin Floor Standing (WM-WB-FS-2025) is a floor standing, combined hand basin and footbath for the Muslim pre-prayer ablution ritual of wudu, also known within some cultures as Abdest or wudhu. This new model, at only 52.5cm wide, takes up less wall space than previous WuduBasins thereby improving its suitability for small spaces. It is best suited for businesses and homes where there is insufficient room for a separate hand basin and footbath.
This improved model comes with fixings, wastes, footbath spray outlet, your choice of lead-free WuduMate Pillar Tap, and the WuduMate Foot Control Unit Single Source (WM-WB-FBCU-SS). WuduMate Pillar Taps have both CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and Australian WaterMark certification, thereby proving their safety and high quality. Their Neoperl aerators with WRAS approved cartridges save water and reduce splashing – key considerations for the purchaser and the end user. The footbath control unit has been specifically designed to have straightforward plumbing, a simple and robust on/off mechanism and the same smart aesthetic of the WuduMate Pillar Taps.
The WuduMate WuduBasin Floor Standing can be installed in a workplace multi-faith room if there is not enough space for a seated wudu facility. For commercial buildings it is recommended that grab bars are installed either side of the unit, and that non-slip matting is deployed. An optional stool is available for increased comfort and stability for the user (WM-MOBILE-STOOL-SS). Wherever there is more available room, the WuduMate Compact, Classic or Modular are the best options to enable a Muslim to perform wudu in a dignified manner, in comfort and in safety.
