Ascent companionway ladders are crafted to accommodate angles ranging from 60 to 75 degrees. Often referred to as ships' ladders, these companionway ladders are considered more user-friendly for ascending than fixed access ladders. Safety Fabrications produce their companionway ladders in both galvanized mild steel and aluminium, adhering to BS EN ISO 4122-4:2016 & BS EN 4211:2005 & A1:2008 standards.
‣ Ascent companionway or ships ladders, commonly referred to, are often preferred for frequent use in workplaces. These ladders are recognized for their ease and safety compared to vertical ladders.
‣ Typically angled between 60 to 75 degrees and is commonly used in tight spaces.
‣ These ladders are designed to offer straightforward access to roof areas, plant items, or raised floors like mezzanines.
