High-capacity drainage with major enhancements – greater design flexibility, improved cost-effectiveness and easier installation
Just over 20 years’ ago, HAURATON introduced its high-capacity slot drainage and retention channel to the market. Designed to support large external pavements exposed to exceptionally heavy loads and dynamic forces, over 400km of RECYFIX HICAP F has since been installed across the world. Many demanding projects later, they are pleased to introduce RECYFIX HICAP’s latest evolution – completely re-engineered, with a focus on delivering three key benefits for engineers, contractors and investors:
Greater flexibility in project design
Five newly developed channel sizes deliver optimised hydraulic performance across the new range. Their different dimensions with increasing capacity offer additional flexibility when designing efficient drainage schemes on large sites. This is complemented by a new range of accessories along with a redesigned multifunction modular access-outlet chamber available in two sizes and fitted with a grating (with frame) in durable ductile iron. RECYFIX HICAP F system gratings are available in either D 400 or F 900 loading options.
The product designations of the new channel sizes indicate their hydraulic storage capacity, ranging from 25 to 160 litres per linear metre. This gives designers a clearer understanding of the capacity available for specific project requirements and makes the product range more easily understood.
The new portfolio of sizes are complemented by the established RECYFIX HICAP F 10000 channel (capacity 443 litres per linear metre). It remains part of the product range and offers high intake and retention capacity for modular slotted channel systems, which are available for transport over long distances.
Optimised logistics
Improvements and economies regarding transportation, storage and construction planning were key considerations in developing the new generation of channels. As standard, the system is delivered fully assembled and ready for immediate installation on site. Alternatively, the individual system components can be packed and transported as unassembled units if required.
Easier installation
The installation process has also been redesigned with practicality in mind. The system features precisely engineered connections. Components are now joined using positive interlocking push-fit and clip connections. This not only ensures more accurate alignment of the individual components and the channel installation in general, but also simplifies handling and speeds up installation.
The newly re-engineered RECYFIX HICAP F system will be available from January 2027.
HAURATON will provide further product information prior to this time to support designers in preparing their projects.
