Newton now has third-party Agrément approvals for all three Types of waterproofing, defined by BS 8102:2009 as Types A, B and C.

In order for any product to achieve Agrément approval, they must undergo rigorous testing that follows precise installation instructions in order to confirm their compliance and durability.

Considering this exacting level of testing, Agréments are therefore recognised across the construction industry by architects, specifiers, engineers and the NHBC as a reliable third-party standard.

The two new approvals, granted by the Kiwa testing house, are:
• BDA Agrément BAB-18-026-P-A-UK, awarded to the Type A, liquid-applied, flexible waterproof membrane Newton 107F
• Agrément BCAC-17-002, awarded to the Type B, hydrophilic waterbar Newton 315 Polymer-Waterbar

The two new Agréments sit alongside Newton’s existing product approvals, including the BDA Agrément BAB 16-031/03/A, awarded to the external Type A Newton HydroBond System and the comprehensive BBA Certificate 94/3010, covering Newton’s range of internal Type C waterproofing and above-ground damp proofing membranes.

Most importantly, this means that Newton can now boast third-party approvals for all three Types of waterproofing, as defined by BS 8102:2009.

AS a result of the new approvals Newton can now provide a complete range of external, structural and internal waterproofing products and solutions that are accepted by the NHBC on any project in which they are involved.
