Aliva UK is celebrating a super 8 shortlistings in the 2025 FX Design Awards - recognition of the art-of-the possible with its bespoke EWI brick slip systems and customised Alu.covering® rainscreen cladding.

The prestigious FX Design Awards recognise best-of-breed design and beautiful aesthetics coupled with market-leading product and technology innovation across an international stage.

There are 6 shortlistings in total for Aliva’s A1 rated, Kiwa certified AlivaBrick slip system which features on a trio of stunning projects across the UK, three in the Product/Surfaces category and three in the UK Project of the Year category.

• Avon Point, Bristol, is a showcase on the scale and versatility of a brick slip system with a blend of grand archways, intricate laddering, recesses, step outs and projecting banding.

• Leeds II features a small palette of brick slip colourways that have created maximum impact and style, with verticality of piers that guide the eye from ground to crown, up to the Leeds city skyline.

• Swan Street House in Manchester includes AlivaBrick in Manchester Smooth Red, an aptly named slip tone and texture that complements the city’s architectural skyline and ‘Cottonopolis’ urban heritage.

Aliva’s A1 rated, BBA certified Alu.covering® rainscreen cladding on global technology company Microsoft’s Central Administration Building in Dublin has also secured two shortlistings in the Product/Surfaces category and Global Project category.

• The cool tone of Aliva’s anthracite grey anodised aluminium Alu.covering® system created a randomised/interspersed panel effect, creating a sense of shimmer on the exterior as the sun moves over the building and the light dances across the panels from different angles, creating the visual intrigue that complements a tech brand of this high calibre.
• The facade is Aliva’s second commission for Microsoft in Dublin. It mirrors the aesthetic specified for its Dublin HQ, One Microsoft Place, featuring a silver facade with four distinct anodised aluminium finishes: etched, brushed, polished and natural.
